Cupped warmth escaping between fingers
Laugh to conjoin merry
In fleeting moments
Of sojourn
Transient
Bliss
Assuaging conflicts
Resting paradoxical existences
Parading in conscious conscience
Clocking minutes of significant mutations
Tried a simple arithmetic progression.
I love how you've played with the form here, Akila. Some of the word combinations are really striking too - 'transient bliss' and 'paradoxical existences' are my favourites
ReplyDeletecool play with words here... i like how the words sound together - the x's in paradoxical existences for example... cool take
ReplyDeletei like how you chose like words too...the paradox/parading, conscious/conscience, minute/mutations....there is some nice craft in this beyond the form
ReplyDeleteVery nice use of the form, and your words are just so well chosen. A well crafted take on the prompt.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have shaped this poem.
ReplyDeleteThis really was a lot of fun! Enjoyed especially the last three lines!
ReplyDeleteWonderful wordplay... and using shape as well as alliterations.
ReplyDelete'Clocking minutes of significant mutations' ~ they're really moments, the self-process we always overlooking....nice work :)
ReplyDelete...loved this Akila... superb word choices here but all well commanded... transient bliss --- love love love that... smiles... enjoyed it... thanks...
ReplyDeleteLove the form here Akila fabulous =) Transience one of those inescapable truths
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and catching the intimacy of my words. Your poem made me think of intimacy too. Especially the cupped hands and the emotions behind the word-play. Beautiful. I will follow your updates on Google Plus. :)
