MY SAFE HAVEN

Memories sift
 To a cocooned warmth
Cradled to the tune of pink hues
Caressed by gentle waves
Of tender love
Anointing my skin
Feeding my elements
Mothering me, swaddled in its fold
I recall
None of those transient moments
To describe the form, but
For its name in substance –
Bliss!

  2. Beautiful. I think this must be the most comforting safe haven....the one perhaps we all continue to yearn for throughout our lives, but can never quite duplicate.

  3. They say we long for it all our lives, and being born is one of the biggest traumas a human endures--which is we we can't remember--but somehow part of us remembers that safest place, always.

  5. How lovely ... my youngest son (now 50) tells me he remembers being born ... insisting he remembers. We all laugh .. and then we wonder 'what if.'
