A clean slate invites
Dancing cats and dogs, pelting
Sketches, vanish in thin air.
While you burn the boat
Embracing the ebb and flow
Count your blessings, dear.

‘bring home the bacon’ all for poetry’s sake // it’s IDIOMS! where Kelvin tends the pub and showers idioms. I
have tried to learn the form, sedoka, introduced by Sam in Form for
All: The Princess’ Poem to her Secret Love on Thursday. (Understand Sedoka to be a trifecta with 5-7-7
syllable count totalling to 38, the first one paints an image from nature and
the second gives a different perspective to it). I missed it while
running after deadlines at work, dotty beginning her school midst the monsoon fury in India.
No brickbats here. Though brief, this was memorable. Great use of idioms here! -Mike
