This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 37; the thirty-seventh edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is "Truth is stranger than fiction"
Figments of mind
Spill out of
Harbored fears
Unexplored shores
Dabbling in a simulated horizon
Perfected by defined boundaries, where
Marionettes come alive
Dancing to the whims of the writer
Soaked in expressions
For familiar emotions
Knitted with details tinged with reality, yet
Bordering on being ephemerally ethereal
Disclaimed!
Bearing no resemblance to life and living
Leaving notions, perceptions, connections
Open to interpretation.
The writer finds peace
Satiating desires and dreams on paper
Till he holds the piece to mirror
Trepid moments beckon
To confront
A change of guard
A new scene
Open-ended
Threads of life, held dear,
Re-define the milieu
Undulating faith and hope
Traverse threats to the twine
Hallucinations fade away, as
TRUTH stands personified.
He bites the bitter pill, sans choice
Stands to pause, assimilate
Cupped in the warmth of the heart
Truth comes to stay, amidst
Notions, perceptions, connections
Left open to interpretation
No less strange than fiction.

I loved the TRUTH verse. Every line held a meaningful thought, not just a gimmicky play on the spelling.
ReplyDeleteI love the use of the writer to juxtapose the solace he finds in his fictional writing on paper where he pours his soul and the harshness of his reality that he finds hard to accept.
Very well-written, Akila.
