FIGHT THE DARK

Tapering silhouetted forms emerge, beckon
Find me cowered in cowardice, my fear
Counting the pile, I no longer reckon.

Shooting down the dark aura, sparkle stars
Courage, in shadows, I hope finds my tear,
Torching anxieties twitch and curl to chars.

Fighting insecurities, each shall die
Letting in more, new, to stay but not smear
Any longer, my life, but just pass by.

For Sunday Mini-Challenge: Nocturna; going by the technicalities of the form given by Grace. I have managed the rhyme and the syllable count but not sure of the meter.

  2. It has long been considered accomplished to feel free to relax metre. So no need for
'Torching anxieties and Fighting insecurities' on that account :-)
I liked the phrase 'curl to chars' .
So many lovely combinations and alliterations.

  4. I specially like the positive tone in the second verse ~ Lovely work on the rhyming pattern Akila (stars/chars) ~ You also got the linked words - fear, tear and smear ~

Thanks for linking up with Real Toads ~

  7. I get a feeling of fire and charcoal, very smudgy shapes. It's tough but I like it.
