LIVE MY PASSION

Attempted once more to get the miltonian rhyming correctly. Thank you, Heaven! for pointing out the rhyme...

Harnessed dreams, hope remains to fulfill
Germinate, bloom to grow within me with time
Every changing season I shade them to rhyme
With thoughts, sprinkled, they collate, find, fill
Voids in my objectives held like a frill
A single dimension, arises, rules prime
Actions, cooperate with a motive, chime
No lame appeals allowed dousing the shrill.

Sustained focus, tests the resolve, is the key
Unlocking, to begin a maiden quest
I embark on this journey with myself - me
Only me- unrelenting, moving on with zest
Over terse spells, how so ever tough they, be
I move on, live my passion, the ultimate crest.

Retaining the first draft written and posted here:

Harnessed dreams, hope remains to fulfill
Germinating to bloom within me with time
Every changing season I shade them to rhyme
With thoughts, sprinkled, they collate, find and fill
Voids in my objectives, seek to acquire
A single dimension, guiding to cause
Actions, cooperate with motive sans flaws
No lame appeals allowed dousing the fire.

Sustained focus, tests the resolve, is the key
Unlocking, to begin a maiden quest
I embark on this journey with myself - me
Only me- unrelenting, moving on with zest
Over terse spells, how so ever tough they, be
I move on, live my passion, the ultimate crest.

  1. Living your passion is the only true way to experience happiness and achieve the sense of being. There is determination in your sonnet, almost as though warning no one to interfere but it is a passionate determination expressed with beauty.

  6. I like that zest for living your passion ~

As to the form, I like the rhyming words ~ Although, I will just point out (because I also committed the same mistake) that the rhyming pattern of the first 4 lines, ABBA, should also be the same for the 5-8th lines, ABBA ~ Overall, a lovely sonnet ~ Thank you.
