RANDOM THOUGHTS

The noon sun, bright and sweltering

Clear blue sky, thin clouds laden

The still greens, parched roads

Birds engulfed by aerial shadows

Dogs in earthy siesta shades

A tapering roof hosts a whirring fan

A clean paper faces a pointed pen

Piercing through my eyes and mind

They find nothing but random thoughts.

  1. nice capture of all the details...leading up to the pen put to the paper...sounds like a lovely day to be writing..

  2. I like the color in this piece. Sometimes it's those random thoughts that take us there. :-)
