MEMORIES

Woven

Lay

Happiness, cupped

Poignant moments, tucked

Invoking a smile in sigh

Catalyzing a catharsis, sometimes, unlocking experience, enlightening wisdom

A collection of myriad hues in form and substance, collated over a lifetime.

This poem is based on a Fibonacci sequence in which the numbers are in a sequence: 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21, etc. or 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21, etc.  and each subsequent number is the sum of the previous two.

For Verse First, at Poets United.

  3. You are amongst the few who used word count rather than syllable total to meet the prompt criteria. This approach makes for a completely different reading experience, focusing more on content than cadence. A refreshing change from what I have encountered this week. That last line is a delight.
